31st December

What a good way to end the year plenty of good quality fish and a boat full of very happy clients. Today our good friend and regular client mika from Finland caught a nice Atlantic tuna on the lightest rod on the boat, exiting stuff and really good fishing. we also had more tuna, some red snappers and a big barracuda. What an excellent end to the year.

30th December

Today was definitely a day of 2 halves with 5 rays,2 Atlantic tuna and an assortment of smaller fish this morning but the afternoon produced only a lizard fish and 1 common sting ray. Its a funny old game this fishing.

29th December

We had a difficult day today with regards to positioning the boat, with the wind changing direction at least 3 times during the day. We did still manage to catch some good fish though with Atlantic tuna rays and a lot of reef fish.

28th December

Another very good day today with Atlantic tuna, angel sharks, plenty of rays including one real monster, a turtle and for one of our youngest clients, a chicken?

27th December

Some very good quality fish today but only assorted rays and an octopus. for some reason every fish in the area apart from the rays were absent. but still a good day with some very big rays.

26th December

After a shaky start with a bit of sickness (understandable on boxing day I suppose) we had a good day with plenty of fish including good sized red snappers and about a dozen assorted rays.

24th December

The fish seem to have started there Christmas holiday already as today proved to be a bit difficult, with only a couple of rays an octopus and loads of little reef fish, its a shame they go on holiday permanently.

23rd December

A much better day today with eagle rays butterfly rays and a BIG round sting ray as well as angel sharks and barracuda.

22nd December

A strange day today with wind, rain, sun and calm conditions and that’s only the weather, the fishing was also a bit of a mystery with a nice eagle ray lots of lizard fish, weavers and two turtles. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more sensible in every way.

21st December

After a few days of really horrible weather we got back to work today with some good results with angel sharks, barracuda, red snappers, a few rays and a lot of small assorted reef fish.

18th December

With the arrival of our first storm this year, today was a much better day for the fish than the fishermen. we did however manage to keep fishing all day and the results were 3 sting rays two turtles and a lot of smaller fish. The weather has made sure we cant fish tomorrow but I suppose 1 or 2 days a year is not bad.

15th December

We had quite a problem today trying to get a decent sized bait past the smaller species of fish on the reef. We did however manage to catch a nice angel shark, a fair sized sting ray and a couple of big sea bream before we decided to get the very light rods out and see how many of the little pests we could catch. The result was no stop action and no idea how many we caught but easily 100s.So not to many specimen fish but a good day was had by all aboard.

14th December

We changed the time of our trip today at our clients request so they could have a drink on there last night and a lay in this morning. The fishing was also unusual being very slow for the first 4 hours and virtual mayhem for the last 2 during which time our Swedish couple managed to drag an enormous turtle to the boat, Dale and Yan from Denmark both caught good sized rays and Tim Riches from England also had his first ever sting ray.

12th December

A very different day today with all our clients catching very good quality fish. We caught 3 big angel sharks, some good sized rays, very big garfish and a lot of smaller specimens. Well done to all on board. I think today was a very good example of our policy to take less fishermen to catch more fish which is why we take a maximum of only 6 fishermen per trip.

11th December

A very rare day today with no rays, we did however catch Atlantic tuna, Barracuda and loads of assorted reef fish so another happy day for our clients and crew.

10th December

Another good day for our clients but not to good for the fish we did however manage to catch a lot of our smaller species which kept every body busy along with some assorted rays. Hopefully things should start improving with greater numbers or our winter fish arriving by the day

7th December

Back to work today after our annual holiday but unfortunately with limited success. With 1 Atlantic tuna a couple of small rays and some reef fish.
