Blue Marlin 3 is an Astinor 1000, which is a very safe and seaworthy purpose designed Sport Fishing Boat.  She is powered by 2 Volvo Penta 230 Diesel engines giving a top speed of over 30 knots.

Blue Marlin is equipped with Lees outriggers and Lees fighting chair, live bait and fresh fish wells.  The electronics aboard include GPS sounder, Fish Finder and Radio which will ensure the best fishing possibilities available for your trip.

The fishing tackle used on Blue Marlin 3 consists of 50lb and 80lb Shimano and Penn International twin speed reels, coupled with Tiagra rods for the trolling, and sometimes on charters aimed at the really big rays.

30lb and 50lb rods are used with Penn Senator reels for general bottom fishing, also on board are Shimano Beastmaster jigging rods with fixed spool reels and braided line.

A selection of carp rods are also available for some real heart-stopping sportfishing.

For your safety we carry on board Life Jackets if you wish to use one, mandatory Fire Extinguishers and Full Passenger Insurance.
