We are very lucky to have a good population of Rays in this area. There are up to 11 different species available throughout most of the year.

The Rays vary in size from 2kg – 200kg plus and the chance of catching a 100kg fish is very realistic and even 150 kg fish are not rare.

Many other species are caught while Ray fishing, however if it is the real heavyweights you are after the tackle required does not offer much sport, unless of course you encounter one of the shark species which inhabit our shores.
